Dorset Sewing Social – A chance for sewers of all abilities to come together, to chat, share and connect. Based in Wimborne, Dorset, UK.
Sewing is a passion that often gets put to the sideline, waiting for that ‘perfect moment’ of guilt-free time to create. I often find myself waiting a long time for those ‘perfect moments’! So, i’d like to create that time – a moment carved out of busy days, weeks and months to invest in myself, my hobby and my happiness. I’d love nothing more than to share this time with others, to connect, make friends and share our creations – to cheer each other on every stitch of the way!
Welcome to our Dorset sewing social! This is a very casual set-up where individuals are welcome to come along with their own projects. This will not be a guided workshop but rather a safe space to enjoy your time with your sewing machine and others.

Location: The Quarter Jack Hall at The Allendale Centre, Wimborne, BH21 1AS
Time: 10.00am – 4.00pm
Ticket: £20
What to bring: Your sewing equipment and your project! I will supply a table each, 1 plug socket each, 2 irons and ironing boards, 2 cutting mats.
Dorset Sewing Social Parking: There is free parking in the Allendale car park – please don’t park in the staff spaces closest to the building. Alternatively, there is a pay and display car park next to the Centre.
Lunch: The on-site cafe is usually open on a Saturday. Please bring lunch with you or you can walk to Wimborne high street to get something. I’ll be bringing some tea, coffee and biscuits for us all!
Stash Table: You are welcome to bring fabric, patterns and haberdashery bits and bobs. The idea is that you can swap an item or items with something on the table! Please take your bits & bobs home with you afterwards.
Roo-tid Fabric Discount: I will also be bringing a selection of our fabrics with a 15% discount for you on the day, should you wish to treat your fabric stash!
