Dorset Sewing Social – A chance for sewers of all abilities to come together, chat, share and connect!

Sewing is a passion that often gets put to the sideline, waiting for that ‘perfect moment’ of guilt-free time to create! So, let’s put that time aside and sew together,  create a community and cheer one another on every stitch of the way!

Welcome to our Dorset sewing social! This is a very casual set-up where individuals are welcome to come along with their own projects. This will not be a guided workshop but rather a safe space to enjoy your time with your sewing machine and others.

WE HAVE CHANGED OUR VENUE!

Location: St Leonards & St Ives Village Hall, Braeside Road, St Leonards, Dorset, BH24 2PH

Time: 10.00am – 4.00pm. Please do not enter the hall until 10am – we have a lot of tables to set-up so we will politely ask you to return at 10am 🙂

Ticket: £20 (We now have a limit of 31 tickets for each date)

What to bring: Your sewing equipment and your project!

PAT Testing: It is a mandatory requirement of the hall that all electrical items brought to the event must hold a valid PAT (Portable Appliance Testing) certification. Individuals must be able to provide a valid PAT certificate for each item upon request at any time during the event.

Failure to provide valid PAT certification when requested will result in the individual being asked to leave the event immediately.

Roo-tid accepts no responsibility or liability for any damage caused to the hall, venue, property, or equipment by individuals who are unable to provide valid PAT certification for their electrical items.

We will be asking for a copy of your certificate for our records.

What Will Be Supplied: 1 table each, 1 plug socket each, shared irons and ironing boards, use of kitchen facilities, tea, coffee, biscuits, toilets, free parking.

Dorset Sewing Social Parking: There is plenty of free parking on site. Please do not park in the yellow restricted areas which allow for the access of emergency vehicles. These must be left clear at all times. Please only park in the disabled bays if required.

Lunch: Please bring lunch with you or there is a small M&S within driving distance.

Stash Table: You are welcome to bring fabric, patterns and haberdashery bits and bobs but please take your items home with you afterwards.

I look forward to connecting and creating together!
