Hello and welcome to our little world of colour, pattern, sewing and self-expression!
Roo-tid is a fabric design studio, specialising in hand drawn illustrations for the dressmaking community! We focus on prints, colours and themes as a form of self-expression. So you can embrace your likes, challenge your uncertainties and stay curious with your fabric choices.
Our designs act as gentle reminders to choose fabric that sings to your soul and makes you feel, like you! Comfortable, confident and empowered in your ‘memade’ outfit.

Our Studio
Our beautiful design studio and fabric shop is situated in the lovely village of Cranborne, Dorset in the UK. It’s here we design our fabrics with wild imaginations, skilled hands and warm hearts.
We don’t focus on ‘trend’ lead designs but rather curiosity, play and a celebration of letting your personality shine through your ‘memade’ wardrobe.
Our studio is open Mon – Fri / 12pm – 4pm.
You are welcome to visit us! View our designs, touch the cloth and chat about all things sewing! There are beautiful countryside walks, an onsite brewery, a gorgeous garden centre and a great pub in the village, so you can make a day out of your visit!

Our Community
We are beyond excited and thankful for our beautiful sewing community that exists through our website, social media and face-to-face!
We see our Rootlet members as an extension of Roo-tid. Because being creative and sewing together is so much more fun!
It’s a chance to connect, share and embrace our joys all while championing one another’s skills and achievements.
We hold in-person sewing socials called Finally Sewing, small group sewing workshops called Let’s Sew and day trips to sewing events called Roo-tid road trips!

Our Cloth
We intentionally design with your self-expression in-mind and we intentionally produce with the environment in-mind.
Because we believe creativity doesn’t need to be at the expense of our planet.
Knowledge is key and knowing where and how your fabrics are created makes you an Intentional shopper and we think that is a rather amazing thing to be!
All our fabrics are eco-friendly, sustainably made and ethically produced. Something we are extremely proud to be a part of and enjoy sharing this with you and your wardrobe. You can read more on our cloths here
