A Sewing Workshop for complete newbies: How to Use a Sewing Machine
Welcome to our Let’s Sew Beginner Workshop – how to use a sewing machine! Whether you’re eager to start a new hobby or you’ve always wanted to learn how to use a sewing machine, this workshop will get you on your way! Our beginner workshops run through the basics in a step-by step format with our lovely and very talented teacher, Amy! By the end, you’ll feel confident to set-up and start using a sewing machine!
We have a maximum of 6 people in our workshops – perfect for a personal teaching experience.
WHAT’S INCLUDED
1. Understanding your Sewing Machine
Before using the sewing machine, it’s important to familiarise yourself with the main parts. We will run through key features of the sewing machine, how to set up the machine and the basic stitches.
2. Your First Project!
We will show you how to make your very own mini pouch.
3. Printed Guide
Take home a printed guide of the key points discussed during the workshop.
4. What’s Included
– Fabric and thread are included.
– Pins and scissors will be available to use.
– Tea, coffee, water and biscuits will be available.
5. Sewing Machine
You can either bring your own sewing machine or you can hire one from us for the session at a cost of £10.00. The perfect way to try a new hobby before committing to a machine of your own!
